My First Chinese New Year

My First Chinese New Year and what it meant to me...

1) I get to go out almost everyday. That means the adults don't force me to sleep so much

2) I see lots and lots of different faces who coos and make funny faces at me... And i return the favour by giving them a blank look.

3) All these new people i've never met before are thrusting those big red bags (which comes in various sizes and shapes) into my little chubby fists. I don't know what these are but i see my big sister gleefully taking and stuffing them into her handbag.

4) My mommie and Sati dresses me up in a different dress everyday. I especially like the rompers with organza skirts.. They taste really yummy!

5) I get to spend more time with my big sister. We watched tv and play together. Oh.. and today we painted an umbrella together. Well, ok.. she painted it while i watched by the side.

6) I met a little girl (ok.. maybe not so little) who is 6 days older but a lot bigger than me. We did some tummy time together and "interacted" a bit. Hmm... that makes her my FIRST friend :)

7) My folks tire me out so much, I can almost sleep through the night now (much to my mommie's delight!)

These are the big red bags i'm talking about
Yummy skirt. Love the texture of organza
A gleeful big sister counting her red harvest
How do you like my new dress? Mommie bought it during our visit to disneyland

My first friend, Eunice :)

When temper flares

Mommie took a video of me kicking up a big fuss when my milk was not served to me promptly. Sigh.. i thought an experienced mom will know that a hungry baby is almost always an angry baby?

Locked in dreamland

Call this pre Chinese New Year excitment - My sister locked me in the room all by myself this morning.

Alarm bells went off only when Sati alerted mommie. All these time, big sister was hoping that the problem will just go away unnoticed or she could miraculously find a magic key to open the door.

When the adults found out, it was all hell break loose....

Daddie started bouncing himself off the door which reminded mommie of an episode in "I survived a Japanese Gameshow!". And when it didn't work, he wished aloud for a sledgehammer

Sati started frantically digging the whole house for keys - we found a key that will open my daddie's door but not mine

Fatty Gramps rushed home from her office and tried to open the door with all the keys in her pouch. Again, non of them worked.

Mommie called a locksmith and it took him 15 mins to arrive at our house and 1 min to open the door.

My big sister didn't get a scolding, daddie and mommie explained the gravity of this problem and told her never to do it again. I know she loves me, is truly apologetic and will never do this to me again.

As for me? I was locked in dreamland all these while - unscathed, unfazed!

3 month old update

Yesterday after our swim, daddie dropped me off with Sati at home.

Fatty Gramps was home too and I had a good time playing with her until she started telling me that daddie, mommie and ka cheh didn't want me anymore, and that was why they left me at home. It really scared the hell out of me and that made me cry buckets!! Thankfully, the 3 of the them came home soon and i realised that Fatty Gramps was only joking with me.

Well, at this stage, when i still can neither walk nor talk and totally at the mercy of adults, it's really diffcult for me to decipher what's real and what's not... so Fatty Gramps, will you please stop playing such heartstopping pranks on me?
